These tail lights have been reworked with '53 Buick lenses. There are numerous body modifications done to this car. The trunk lid has been smoothed & the tag mount frenched. The cowl vent has been smoothed. The gas filler door has been relocated with a Fagan door/cap. The bumpers and stanchions have been re-chromed. The running boards are steel replacements. The exterior displays beautifully. The windshield is "butted" in true street rod fashion. The wheels are 18-inches, by Billet Specialties. The stance and presence on this 1939 LaSalle are like none-other. This is a one-of-a-kind street rod.
Many of our photos were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit the historic museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. Look closely and you can see some of the ghost flames that wrap around the hood. The interior is luxury-appointed with power seating, Vintage brand air conditioning, and power features. The gauges are digital, by Dakota. There are LaSalle custom features throughout the interior. The door panels are press-molded and the headliner is custom fabricated for this car. There are so many features. The tilt steering wheel is paired with a polished aluminum & wood banjo-style steering wheel.
The engine runs very smoothly, paired with the TH400 automatic transmission. This is a 454 big block Chevrolet engine with plenty of torque. Induction is courtesy of a 4bbl. carburetor atop a free-flowing polished aluminum intake. The headers breathe through a custom dual exhaust system that sounds excellent. Be sure to play our video. The power steering reservoir is billet aluminum as is the radiator overflow tank. The starter is a high-torque mini-starter.
The suspension shows part of what makes this car so easy and comfortable to drive. The A-frame front end features disc brakes along with a front sway bar. The gas tank is specially fitted to this car as are the custom dual exhaust pipes. The rear end is a 10-bolt Chevrolet. The transmission is a stout TH400 3-speed automatic.
