Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is pleased to offer this Patriotic 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is finished in white and blue over a two-tone blue Deluxe interior and powered by a 351ci Cleveland V8 mated to an FMX automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, fold-down rear seats, power windows, and modifications such as closed-chamber cylinder heads, a Holley 600 four-barrel carburetor, and electronic ignition. The car was acquired by the seller in fall 2020, Its original owner is said to have purchased it after graduating from medical school in 1972 in California. This Mach 1 is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller's name.

The fastback body was repainted in its factory Wimbledon White under previous ownership according to the seller and features blue accents with red pinstripes on the hood and beltline.

Exterior details include front and rear spoilers, body-colored mirrors, grille-mounted sport lamps, a mesh rear grille, and Mach 1 graphics. Chrome 15" Magnum 500 wheels with black recesses are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

The Deluxe interior features two-tone blue vinyl seats with ribbed inserts as well as a matching dashboard and carpets. Amenities include a tilt steering wheel, power windows, fold-down rear seats, and a retro-style digital stereo that turns on but does not emit sound. The air conditioning system is said to have been fitted with a rotary compressor but does not blow cold. The heater box is actuated via a solenoid rather than a vacuum according to the seller.

A stock two-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a five-digit odometer showing 48k miles. Approximately 2000 miles have been added by the seller, and the total mileage is unknown.

The 351ci V8 has reportedly been fitted with closed-chamber cylinder heads, a Holley 600 four-barrel carburetor, and a Ford Duraspark electronic ignition system. Power is routed to the rear wheels via an FMX automatic transmission. Additional photographs of the underbody are provided.
