Vinyl InteriorFor sale in our Detroit showroom is this beautiful 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This beauty is a true "R" code mustang and is powered by a 351 ci 4V V-8 that in 1972 put out 275 HP. The "R" code is rare due to the motor that was essentially a low compression Boss 351 and only about a 1,000 were ever installed and only 336 were in Mach 1 Mustangs. Along with the motor came a 4 speed manual transmission, 3.91 traction-Lok rear axle, dual exhausts, competition suspension, power front disc brakes, and an electronic rev limiter. Even though this Mustang is not a numbers matching the motor is a replacement block. This vehicle received a high dollar restoration 5 years ago and motor is now pushing 400 HP. The vehicle no longer has the rev limiter in it nor the 4300 Carb. This was taken off during the engine rebuild. Following the engine is the numbers matching transmission and rear end. This beauty is dressed in Light Pewter Metallic and holds its Mach 1 pin stripping. The interior of this classic is black vinyl that accents the outer color and the style of the Mach 1 as well.
