The car has managed to survive and using everything from left over Studebaker parts, to Ford and GM chassis and drivetrains. Studebaker made 4,647 Avanti's and over the next 41 years there were never more than 289 Avanti's produced in a single year. So the rare factor is certainly there. This 72 shows good in it's metallic gold exterior paint and you'll be thrown right back into 1972 once you take a seat inside the brown and green Leather and cloth 2 tone interior. Under the hood you will find a small block Chevy 400 producing 300hp and mated to an automatic transmission. With just a little over 86k on the dash, that averages out to 1,720 miles a year, you'll be comfortable knowing this car was enjoyed, but not too much!
