The '99 Cobras were known to have a multitude of issues, including low power output, overheating engine valves, and poor engine cooling. The Cobra skipped a year in '00 to resolve these issues, and '01 saw the return of a legend with several improvements. The cylinder heads were redesigned for better coolant flow, the exhaust was redesigned to improve power output, and the old Tremec T-45 transmission was replaced with a stronger Tremec TR-3650.
