Traction ControlFor sale in our Chicago showroom is a very collectible 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary Edition. 1953 saw the birth of what was to become the first American sportscar and the beginning of automotive history. Not to let the birthday of a legend go unnoticed Chevrolet came out with the 40th Anniversary package which included custom wheel inserts, special Ruby Red metallic paint, embroidered headrests and Anniversary badges on the front fenders.
In 1993 Chevrolet produced 21,590 Corvettes and of those only 6,749 were the 40th Anniversary Edition. At the time Chevrolet dealers received only 1 vehicle and they were immediately sought after as collector items. Fast forward 22 years and this ultra-clean and original beauty has traveled only 8,819 miles and it shows. The Ruby Red leather interior is still as soft as the day it left the factory. The original tinted-glass targa roof allows you a full panoramic view up while driving this iconic sports car on the open road. The original Delco Bose Gold Series stereo system sounds fantastic even by modern technology standards.
Standard equipment on the 1993 Corvette included power steering, power brakes, power windows and locks, cruise control, power driver and passenger seats, remote keyless entry and heavy duty brakes. The 5.7 Liter LT1 V8 starts up and runs fantastic and was capable of producing 300 horsepower. With that amount of power coupled with the 6-speed manual transmission enabled this car to reach speeds over 150 miles per hour. Not too shabby for a stock vehicle!
