1970 Ford Mustang

The Boss Mustang was produced from 1969-1970, then reintroduced from 2012-2013. The name Boss Mustang came when designer Larry Shinoda, a former GM employee, was asked what project he was working on, the project was a secret so he answered with "the boss's car." On the 1970 Boss Mustang "hockey stick" stripes were added, which started on top of the hood and made its way down the side. Under the hood is the very sought after 302 CID V8 that doesn't disappoint when it comes to performance and for more fun is the 4 speed manual transmission to complete the Boss 302 package. Ford engineers vamped the Boss's suspension to meet then-boss Semon "Bunkie" Knudsen's vision to "built absolutely the best-handling street car available on the American market." The Boss 302 was the fastest Mustang to lap the ford test track during its production due to a stiffened chassis, stiffer springs and shocks, special sway-bar tuning and wider tires which was part of the goal set by "Bunkie." The exterior of this Beast is Bright Yellow with the black "hockey stick" stripes. The interior is a beautiful black vinyl. What sets this Boss 302 apart from the rest of the pack is its unique back story. The car was originally purchased from Bert Weinman Ford in 1970. It was a daily driver from 1970-1976. Then was only driven on special occasions during 1976-1984. It was then in storage from 1984 until 2002 when it was awakened. The odometer read 37,123 original miles. It was then trailered to American Auto Restoration where it went through a complete restoration from 2002-2005. The shaker hood was then installed as well. Only 2,811 miles have been driven since the complete restoration. Pictures were taken during the restoration process, and are available at time of purchase.
