1968 Ford Mustang California Special clone for sale in Chicago Illinois. This 68 Mustang for sale is powered by a built 1969 351 Windsor V8 engine with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor sitting on an Offenhauser intake, a mild cam, chrome valve covers, and true dual exhaust. The powerful 351 engine is backed by a 4 speed manual transmission with an upgraded clutch and a Hurst shifter, which makes driving this Mustang a blast! The exterior has been upgraded with California Special or GT/CS touches including the trunk lid with built in spoiler, Shelby inspired side scoops, side stripes, and quarter panel extensions. Other exterior upgrades include Magnum 500 wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TA raised white letter tires, diual mirrors, flip down gas cap, black trim rings around the headlights and turn signals, brushed rocker panel moldings, and hood with turn signal indicators. Inside sits high back bucket seats, an AM/FM/Cassette player, full seat belts including shoulder straps, an aftermarket steering wheel, extra gauges, a tachometer, and aluminum door panel inserts to give it a racing look! Traction bars and adjustable air shocks in the rear help get the power to the ground. The trunk is finished off with a black vinyl insert that is cut to fit and a spare tire and jack. This Mustang is an original \"J\" code 302 car, making it rare in its own right. This was the first year for the optional 302 which is now one of Mustangs most desirable engines. There were only around 5,000 California Special Mustangs built in 1968, so getting your hands on a real one is hard to do and costly. This is a good alternative at a great price!
