Vinyl Interior1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible For Sale in Chicago. This 442 convertible has 60,800 original miles. The engine is the 400 4brl Oldsmobile, with dual exhaust, and is backed by a more modern Turbo 350 transmission (which replaced the original Jet-A-Way automatic). This Oldsmobile has a rebuilt 10 bolt posi rearend with 3.43 gears. The original Rochester carburetor was replaced with another period correct Rochester modified to deal with the turbo 350 kick down cable. With the GTO receiving GM corporate sanction, Oldsmobile followed suit with a big-engine 442. The B09 option was renamed 442 and the price was lowered to $190.45 for F-85s and $156.02 for Cutlasses. The new 400 CID (6.6 L) engine became standard, and the definition of "442" was restated as 400 cubic inches, 4 barrel carburetor (a 515 cfm Rochester 4-Jet), 2 - dual exhausts. Output for the big engine rose to 345 hp and 440 lb•ft. Other touches added to the '65 were chrome body side scoops adorned with 442 badging, chambered dual exhaust pipes, chrome single snout air cleaner, and 442 badging on the dash. It also offered standard bucket seats when optioned on the Cutlass and a 6,000 rpm tachometer, mounted in the console. The console was optional, which made the tachometer optional. Retractable front seat belts were optional. Options on this 65 Cutlass 442 are power convertible top, replacement AM/FM radio that fits nicely into the dash, wire Spinner hubcaps, seat belts front and rear, Redline radial tires from Coker Tire, factory spare tire cover, rear sway bar, factory dual exhaust, remote driver's side mirror, bucket seats, console, working tachometer, lighter, reverse lights, windshield washers, and owners and service manuals included. This a manual steering, manual drum brake, no power windows car.
