Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this rare 1953 Hudson Hornet. Under the hood sits an inline-6 cylinder engine displacing 308 cubic inches paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle was brought to the midwest from Arizona roughly 5 years ago. Although it still possesses the classic styling from a Hudson, a number of changes have been made to improve the drivability of this classic. An electric fuel pump was added to eliminate hard starts, LED reverse lights were wired, as well as a backup camera, and a second battery was fitted to help operate the additional equipment. The Hornet was a huge step forward in automobiles, as it was one of the first cars to have a floor that stepped "down" into the car, which improved handling characteristics greatly. The effects of this can be seen in the way Hudson dominated the stock car series in the early 50s. This classic is sure to keep you smiling. don't miss this stock car legend get away!
