Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is very proud to present this nice 1965 Ford Mustang. The Mustang is the longest running nameplate in Ford’s history. Ford originally thought it would sell 100,000 Mustangs in the first year but over 400,000 were purchased. The Mustang was the namesake of the Pony Car which the long hood and short deck came as a for runner to the Challenger, Firebird, Camaro , and Javelin. And set the standard for the stylish sporty coupes for many years to come and is still thriving today.
This wonderfully restored Mustang features Ford’s legendary 289 Paired to a 4 Speed Manual transmission, giving this mustang plenty of power. The engine and transmission were rebuilt about 3000 miles ago.
The exterior is white with blue stripes giving this bad boy a mean classic look. The interior is black and really shows well.
This one is a pleasure to drive down the road and it will certainly make all the heads turn as you ride on by.
