Gateway classic Cars is proud to present this absolutely breathtaking 1928 Ford pickup. Every square inch of this antique has had fresh life brought into it thanks to the extremely capable hands at Mikes Garage. This Ford is a prime example of pulling the right parts off the shelf to make something greater than expected. The bed and cab of this truck are '31 Ford steel with years and years of history embedded in this beautiful patina. The entire Henry J body sits atop a Speedway frame and Speedway front axle. This chopped and channeled rat rod handles the road much better than one would expect, thanks to Qa1 adjustable coilover suspension on all 4 corners as well as air ride suspension to adjust ride height and help dampen the more jarring bumps.
Let's talk about the elephant in the room; powering this automotive art is a 350 cubic inch small block Chevy. A Demon 750 blow-through carburetor is force-fed 8psi of positive pressure thanks to a pair of t3/t4 turbos making this a very impressive machine. The engine has had a Comp turbo cam installed as well as a set of Promaxx cylinder heads giving this engine the ability to make some very respectable power. Taking all that power is a TH-350 3-speed automatic transmission housing a 2500rpm stall converter, making this an extremely streetable vehicle. Our back is a Ford 9" rear end with 3.55 gears mounted to a Detroit posi-traction unit. The axle is located by a 4-link rear suspension setup and houses the aforementioned air-ride and Qa1 shocks.
