Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to list this nice 1931 Ford Model A for sale.
The Ford Model A was the second biggest success for the Ford Motor Company after its more famous predecessor, the Model T. First sold on December 2, 1927 it replaced the Model T which had been in production for 18 years. The new Model A was designated a 1928-year model and was available in four standard colors. By February 1929, one million Model As had been sold and by July of the same year, two million. By March 1930, three million Model As were sold in nine body styles. Model A production ended in March 1932, after 4.8 million had been made in all body styles.
This all black Model A runs and drives amazing! It starts right up and purrs like a kitten thanks to an updated electrical system that now has 12 volts of battery power instead of the original 6 volt system. The three speed manual transmissions shifts super smooth and makes this car quite easy to drive. A roomy tan cloth interior feels even bigger with custom seat extenders allowing for additional leg room and driver comfort. It's not very difficult to find a Model A but to find one that you can actually drive with confidence is pretty rare. This is that car. Now make it yours.
