The International L Series was a range of trucks produced by International Harvester in 1949. The L Series encompassed trucks of all sizes, from light-duty pickups and delivery vehicles to full-size tractor-trailers. Replacing the K Series, The L Series was a much-improved truck. Much larger in just about every way, it now had the room for larger engines, tires, cargo, and a larger chassis. Options included a clock, radio, and electric windows. Those options may not be so impressive compared to today's standards, but in 1952 they were quite luxurious.
Smothered in shiny, bright red paint, this old truck makes an entrance wherever you take it. The inline six-cylinder sounds great, and the three-speed manual transmission (column) shifts nicely and smoothly. With plenty of room inside, you won't feel cramped as you would in many other trucks of this era. The bench seat looks great and is very comfortable. If you're looking for a cool old truck to cruise around town, give this one a closer look.
