Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent this 1969 Pontiac Firebird Coupe! The Pontiac Firebird is an American automobile that was built and produced by Pontiac from the 1967 to 2002 model years. Designed as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang, it was introduced on February 23, 1967, five months after GM's Chevrolet division's platform-sharing Camaro. This also coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, Ford's upscale, platform-sharing version of the Mustang. The first generation Firebird had characteristic Coke bottle styling shared with its cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro. Announcing a Pontiac styling trend, the Firebird's bumpers were integrated into the design of the front end, giving it a more streamlined look than the Camaro.
This particular 1969 Pontiac Firebird is finished in a beautiful shade of Metallic Maroon with Black Vinyl bucket seat interior! Under the hood is a powerful small block V8 that sends power to the rear wheels through a Manual 4-Speed Transmission! The famous front end with molded bumper lines is the iconic part of these first generation cars, and this one is topped off with a set of aftermarket Crager Wheels! This Power Steering and Manual Brake optioned Firebird checks all the boxes, so don't miss your opportunity! To see more HD pictures and video please visit GatewayClassicCars.com.
