Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. This fine example has been with the same owner since 1986 and was restored in 2003. The consignor states her to be a numbers matching 442. She is powered by a 455 cu in V8, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine had a top end rebuild, and brought back to factory specs. This 442 is painted in a Silver, with Black stripes, Black convertible top, and Black vinyl interior. The fit, finish, and the paint are very well done, and the majority of the trim is in very good condition, and she just gleams in the sunlight! She was gifted with a new convertible top, and there's nothing like a new back window on a convertible! Step inside and the interior appears to be original, showing average wear and patina on the seats and console. Hence the statement of partial restoration - as anyone who's been through it - knows it becomes the “money pit". That's why it's always better to buy one already done! Despite this 442's age it drives like an absolute dream at slow speed cruising and at highway speeds.
