1948 Ford F100

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to have for sale this 1948 Ford F100 Resto Mod. This truck is a real looker, as the cab was chopped 2.5", the Metallic Blue color is an absolute eye-catcher, and sitting on 17"/20" custom wheels - ya gotta look!! Look a “lil" closer, and you'll see the hood was “pie-cut", hidden tailgate latches, a finished wooden bed w/ fuel fill, and a Galvanized steel tool/battery box. The consignor states she was completed in 2014 by the previous owner, who performed much of the work, including replacement steel; rear fenders, running boards, and tail gate, along w/ new fiberglass front fenders. Powering this F-100 is a rebuilt 1989 Mustang 302 V-8 w/ AFR aluminum heads, roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, w/Holley carb, long tube headers and MSD ignition. The power is handled by a T-5 5-speed manual transmission, 8.8 rear end with 4:11 gears, with approx. 5,000-miles since installed. This '48 is riding on what is believed to be her original chassis, w/ Mustang II sub frame, w/ non power rack and pinion steering, rear leaf springs, 4-link set up, and 4-wheel power disc brakes. This truck is meant to be driven and enjoyed on those summer night cruises. This truck can be shown tomorrow - if that's what you like to do - or taken cross country. The engine bay is clean and detailed, including the polished engine dress up kit, a custom aluminum radiator/condenser unit, w/ 2 electric fans, and the Vintage Air condenser. The headers are the only obvious knock one could make about this build - “they didn't go for a new set of headers", and these needed powder coating! But what the heck - it'll give you something to say you did!! Her interior is done in a Black vinyl w/ Alligator inserts, including the bench seat, and door panels, new headliner, custom over-head stereo console, new carpet, a late model tilt steering column, and after market guage cluster to finish her off! Other features include; custom vinyl interior, seat belts, power brakes, Vintage a/c, tilt wheel, am/fm/cd stereo, American racing 5-Star wheels w/ P225/55R17, P275/55R20 radial tires. This truck may not last long - with a little TLC - this truck can be taken to the next level - w/o breaking the bank!
