This Ford was built by Southern Off-Road out of Alpharetta, GA and with both looks and performance in mind, I would say they nailed it! Not only is the Matte Gray paint on this looker an absolute eye-catcher, but the body of this ford is what catches people's eye. With its huge sexy curves hugging the hood to the themed custom yet keeping that old school vintage interior everyone likes. The Matte theme is carried throughout - with the wheels and accessories all done 2-shades darker- then sprayed w/ a matte clear. What makes this 1954 special is the bumper delete, front/rear splash pans, customized running boards, frenched taillights, and airbags! Powering this F-100 is a rebuilt 460 cu in a big block, rated @ 450-hp, w/ aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake w/ carb style fuel injection. The power is handled by a new Street Performance C-6 automatic transmission, w/ 2800-rpm stall converter, along with a 9" Detroit locker rear end with 3:73 gears. This '54 is riding on an IFS front suspension, with power rack and pinion steering, and a custom cantilever rear suspension - allowing 8" + of travel - do you like ‘em on the ground?? This truck is meant to be driven and enjoyed on those summer night cruises. Cruising is made easy with power steering and power brakes. Not only does the truck run well, but it handles phenomenally well for a vehicle of its size as she keeps level in the corners. This truck can be shown tomorrow - if that's what you like to do - or taken cross country! The details in the bed include modifying the bed height, and the replacing of the planks and chrome slats - that shows new. The same holds true for the engine bay - as she's clean and detailed including an aluminum radiator, w/ 2 electric fans, and Wildwood power booster/master cylinder. They didn't stop there, as the interior is adorned with a molded dash-mounted housing holding the tach, and air ride control, bench seat, headliner, and late-model steering column. Other features include; airbags, vinyl interior, power steering, power brakes, Vintage a/c, new custom wheels, and 255/35ZR20 radial tires.
