1946 GMC Pickup

View Description

The 1946 GMC CC-152 Pickup was a continuation of a prewar design that first appeared for the 1941 model year. With only a little over 4000 miles since the rebuild, this truck still wears its original sheet metal, with the exception of custom fiberglass front fenders, but that is about the extent of it. This nostalgic GMC Pickup truck now sports a 350 Chevrolet CID and a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. Inside the cab, the original interior has been replaced with a tan leather interior, and an AM/FM radio with cassette player. A tilt steering wheel replaces the old straight column piece to make it easier to get in and out of the cab. To keep tabs on critical engine functions is a set of Dolphin gauges. Everything from speed, mileage, voltage, water temperature and oil pressure are monitored by these high dollar gauges. To enjoy the nice comfy interior, AC has been added to keep the...

1950 GMC 100

View Description

Painted in a classic red and black two tone with brown vinyl interior. This truck was treated to a frame off restoration in 2005 that included rebuilding the suspension, brakes and of course disassembling everything, cleaning priming and painting. The original 228 inline 6 and 4 speed manual transmission were in great running condition, so they were left alone. The GMC 228 cubic inch inline six made 96 horsepower compared to the Chevy's 90 horsepower 216 cubic inch inline 6. They also featured a stronger frame and different colors, hub caps, grille and tailgate that were specific to GMCs. In 1950, GM also did away with...

1949 GMC 250

View Description

GMC referred to this 5 window set up as the 'Nue Vue' 5 window. The curved rear glass allowed for much better reward visibility which was great for a Longbed typically used for loading/unloading. This particular 1 ton Model 250 sports a pickup Longbed with removable wooden bed sides for tall loads. The truck was professionally restored in 2008. The truck was always extremely solid and retains its original sheet metal. The original engine was rebuilt and has hardly been driven since. Some nice upgrades were made at the time of restoration such as converting it to a 12 volt system and replacing the original glass with safety glass. The body was smoothed and finished in its original Pimpernal Scarlet color. The bed has all new oak slats and stainless strips. Nothing beats the look of a wood pickup bed. The truck is in wonderful shape from stem to stern. The engine bay is clean and tidy just as it would've came in '49, the interior is gorgeous and even features a working retro radio. This...

1953 GMC 5 Window

View Description

It is ready to enjoy today and priced to sell immediately.

BACKGROUND: Beginning in 1920, GMC and Chevrolet trucks became largely similar, built as variants of the same platform, sharing much the same body sheet-work, except for nameplates and grilles though their differences, especially engines, have varied over the years. GMC advertising marketed its trucks to commercial buyers and businesses, whereas the Chevy's targeted private ownership. From 1939 to 1974 GMC had its own line of six-cylinder engines, first the inline sixes known as 'Jimmy's' from 1939 to 1959 (source: Wikipedia).

This particular GMC truck has an easy to start and fun to drive 228 Inline Straight Six. It is still being driven by a 4-speed manual transmission on the floor. It has a powered by 'you' steering and braking and only a few thousand miles after the rebuild. The current owner is its second post-rebuild.

One of the best reasons to be interested in this 1953 GMC Truck is how unique this color scheme is. The exterior body has been painted in a Red that has maintained very good quality. The running boards fitted tight to the body and can withstand the pressure of body weight climbing in the truck....
