The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford Motor Company from the 1973 to 1979 model years. Produced by Ford in North America, Argentina, and Australia, this is the third and final generation of trucks derived from the 1965 Ford F-Series. This generation was launched in December 1972 for the 1973 model year. While retaining the same chassis of the previous generation, several revisions were made. To fight corrosion, Ford increased its use of galvanized sheet metal, zinc coated steel, and zinc-rich primer. To increase safety, the fuel tank was moved out of the cab (to below the pickup bed), creating a storage area behind the bench seat.

1952 Ford F1 Custom. This is a great looking truck it has been painted in a flat grey and has been heavily customized. It is powered by a 350 crate engine, with upgrades including MSD HEI distributer, polished Edelebrock. Built for one purpose only, to be used as a work truck, this Model AA has stood the test of time. The history on these trucks are pretty interesting, only being built for a 4-year production line, the body, engine and transmission were used from the Model A to keep costs low and mass production easy. Of course the chassis was modified from the original trucks, built longer and stronger to accomodate a heavier usage on farms, deliveries, or even commercial use. The engine is a 202 cubic inch Inline 4, capable of making roughly 40 horsepower at 2200 RPM's, and utilized the same standard features of the vehicles before, a 6-volt generator system, basic water pump from the original Model A's and so on. The cab of this truck was never designed with flair or options, as these were designed to be a solid work horse, it features simple things like vinyl bench seat and only the important gauges on the dashboard.
