When the 1969 Mustang was first released, auto journalists like those at Car and Driver agreed that its styling was a hit and the public agreed! The 1969 Mustang grew by 3. 8 inches, all of which was in the hood or in front of its front wheels. All the extra space under the hood left plenty of room for the rebuilt 351CID Cleveland V-8 that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock 2665 Performer intake, a Holley Street Avenger 4barrel carburetor, K&N X-Stream air filter, MSD ignition, aluminum radiator with electric fan, and custom header with dual exhaust. Behind the motor sits the rebuilt C4 automatic transmission with a 2800-3000rpm stall converter with auxiliary cooler sending power through the Ford 9' rear end with 4. 11 gears. The suspension has also been upgraded to handle the power with coil overs in the front with rack and pinion steering and new leaf springs in the rear and Wilwood disc brakes at all 4 corners.
