1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

View Description

Trying to find an all original low mileage 1969 Mach 1 is nearly unheard of, but that is exactly what you are looking at. This '69 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a true survivor and has been loved and cared for by only three owners. The Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang, originally introduced by Ford in August 1968 as a package for the 1969 model year. The Mach 1 title adorned performance oriented Mustang offerings until the original retirement of the moniker in 1978. As part of a Ford heritage program, the Mach 1 package returned in 2003 as a high performance version of the New Edge platform. Visual connections to the 1969 model were integrated into the design to pay homage to the original.

This beautiful Candy Apple Red Mach 1 is all original besides the paint that was redone in 1994 with the original color and paint scheme. She only has 42,803 original miles. That has always been stored in a garage with a car cover. Standard equipment was a 351 cu in Windsor with dual exhaust, backed by a 3 speed FMX Select Shift Cruise-0-Matic automatic transmission, and a 9' traction-lok rear axle with 3. 00:1...

If you are looking for a numbers matching big block Mustang that is factory correct, I wish you luck. If you are looking for a BIG BLOCK 428 Mustang that is built right, has all the go-fast mods that we all want and is bad a$$, continue reading. The 1968 Mustang for many enthusiasts is a favorite. Styling and performance had evolved since 1965. This Mustang is an original 6-cylinder car with manual floor shift. It was owned by the same family for 36 years from 1980 to 2016. It was left original until it was passed down to the youngest son. When he acquired the car, he removed the original engine, transmission and rear. He removed the interior and striped and painted the car in its current color Mazda Purple. At this point the project came to a halt. This is when the current owner purchased the vehicle. The build began with a 428 Cobra Cobra Jet FE engine with the C casting on the back of the block. Production date was March 5th, 1969. It still retains its original bore. Ross Racing Pistons, Arp Hardware, Competition Cams Roller Rockers and camshaft and Edelbrock Aluminum Heads make up the internals. We...

1965 Ford Mustang

View Description

The 1965 Mustang set an all-time record for first-year sales of any new model. Today's auto market is too fragmented with different types of cars for a single model to ever get the wildly enthusiastic reception of the first Ford Mustang in America.

Americans had few foreign models from which to choose in the 1960s, so domestic autos ruled the market. Lee Iacocca, then the young, savvy head of Ford Motor's Ford division, felt a sporty, inexpensive model would be hot because it would be youth-oriented and World War II baby boomers were getting their first driver's licenses. Also, the 15-29 age group was expected to grow by almost 40 percent between 1960 and 1970.

The 1965 Mustang hardtop coupe drew 501,965 buyers, the convertible 101,945 and the fastback coupe 77,079. Iacocca even told Carroll Shelby to build an affordable, modified, limited-production 1965 Mustang that could beat no less than Chevy Corvettes on race tracks. Shelby did just that, using the semi-fastback body.
