Yes, 305 ponies in a base Mustang, or just 10 fewer than the 2010 GT. For perspective, previous V-6 Mustangs were forever plagued by a SOHC 4. 0-liter V-6 with 210 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. The new all-aluminum DOHC engine-a range-topping variant of Ford's Duratec V-6 architecture with variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust cams-produces 305 hp at 6500 rpm and 280 lb-ft at 4250 rpm.
