Having had the same owner for the last 29 years, this Mustang has come a long way! The original economical 4 cylinder and manual transmission were tossed to make way for the behemoth 393 stroker V8 and built C4 automatic transmission. Pumping an estimated 550+ horsepower, this 13:1 compression motor could move a house! Helping that monster motor breathe is a pair of Pro Comp 220 aluminum cylinder heads port-matched to a Victor Jr. intake. The rods and pistons are forged to handle all of the forces of detonation inside the engine with ease. Roller rockers, chromoly pushrods, and roller lifters all help reduce friction in the valvetrain to make this engine as efficient as can be.
The C4 was built to handle all of the abuse, and a 3800-4200 stall converter was used to keep the engine in its power curve.
