This truck began its life as a light duty truck used in Alabama away from snow and salt. After being acquired because of it being a very solid truck from new a restoration was completed including a very nice paint job. This black beauty looks great from any angle and these old Fords are becoming increasingly collectible and sought after and this is a very nice clean example. Options on this shortbed include working air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows including a sliding rear window and a smooth shifting C4 automatic transmission. To call this build clean is beyond a disservice, and attention has been paid to every last detal. This truck underwent a frame off restoration in 2008, and has only had 800 miles put on it since. The original 239 CID Y Block V8 was kept and rebuilt, along with the 3 speed manual transmission with the -3 on the tree- column shifter. The drivetrain was kept all original including the rear axle. No stone was left unturned in this restoration, as everything was either replaced or rebuilt. The body was soda blasted before having this gorgeous sky blue paint applied, and the body is laser straight. In the bed, you will find some wonderful looking wood paneling with stainless rails. The electrical system was converted to a 12v system, allowing for better charging and ease of maintenance. This -61 Ford truck is painted in a shiny black paint that is in great condition. Powering this classic F100 is a 292 CID Y Block V8 engine, that is very similar to what would have been in the truck when it was bought new. Upgrades to the 292 V8 and drive train include a new carburetor, new starter, power steering, new fuel pump, new battery, and even all of the gauges have been reconditioned to working order.
