1976 was a stellar year for sales of the ageing C3. Even with the convertible axed from the line up GM still managed to sale almost 50000 corvettes that year, the most since 1969. The biggest change in 76 was new modified hood which redirected air closer to the front of the car solving that annoying howl the earlier C3's had. This 76 has had lived a very easy life with only what is believed to be 95k original miles. Although the car originally came from the factory dark brown you could never tell without reading the trim tag. The red paint job was done right and it shows. With a heavy amount of clear sealing the bright red paint it is sure to last for years to come. With the interior having the same attention to detail you will again be hard pressed to find any signs of the original brown. It still sports the iconic, one year only, Vega steering wheel with the remainder being switched over to the classic black.
