'Sleeper' is a term used by hot-rodders to describe a car that looks innocent and even sedate on the outside but has hidden performance potential with a powerful engine under the sheet metal. That moniker applies to this restored 1948 Studebaker Land Cruiser four-door sedan street rod. Outwardly, the car looks stock, but all the original running gear was replaced with a Chevrolet 305 CID V8 mated to a GM Turbo Hydra-Matic 700-R4 four-speed automatic that was refreshed during the car's restoration in 2007 and it has approximately 13k miles on in since then.
