During the post war era, the standard of living was steadily increasing, and the Volkswagen brand only had the comparable basic Beetle in production. The executives of VW decided to start a new design based on the Beetle that was to be sportier in looks and in engine performance. The designers turned to Karmann coachworks and styling by Carrozzeria Ghia has produced one of the most iconic designs. This Karmann Ghia has been lovingly owned and enjoyed for the last 9 years and is now ready for a new adventure. This car is painted in a beautiful white pearl with flakes and has all the correct chrome accents. The unique intakes just above the chrome bumper make for an intriguing look reminiscent of the Porsche Boxster of the time. Customer states that the top is only 2 years old and is in nice condition. At the rear of the car is the chrome bumper and quad tipped chrome exhaust that make for a nice and exciting engine tones. Interior is the quintessential 1970's vinyl black dash, seats, and door panels. The original AM radio looks at home in the faux wood dash inset.
