Unlike its twin LT1 that is found in corvette of the same era, the LT1 used in the Impala was fitted with cast-iron cylinder heads instead of aluminum ones, and a camshaft that was designed more for low-end torque. The LT1 in this one boast a modest 260HP with a top speed of 142 MPH! So you can see why most police departments went with this car as there cruisers. The LT1 has then been linked up with a smooth shifting 4 speed 4L60-E automatic transmission. From there we head into the interior that has been fitted with silver leather upholstery and center consol.
