Built to compete with the Chevy Nova and Ford Mustang, the Dart GTS was stuffed with the same drivetrain equipment as its bigger brothers in the Mopar lineup making it a credible threat on the street. Powered by a down right angry 383 and backed with a 4-speed transmission, as soon as you hit the key you'll realize this GTS isn't playing around. Most pony, muscle, or sports cars of the day carried heavy badging, call outs, or fancy stripe kits shouting their identity to the world. However, the Dart had but one emblem on the hood, one on the trunk, and sported "Poverty Caps" to lure the unknowing Nova owner into its web of deception at the next red light.
