Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this survivor 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Late 70s Trans Ams are cultural icons these days. From the screaming chicken to the T-tops, disco era Trans Am’s are a great reflection of the best of the 70s. A time when style was king and making an entrance was one of the top priorities. This macho machine is a great driving car with most of the major ‘old car’ issues having been addressed. For instance, this Trans Am has a new gas tank, tires, brakes, upper arm bushings, tire rods, power steering hoses, window motors and switches. A true reflection of its history as a ‘barn find’. The car does have some patina, but it’s rust and accident free. The blue paint is very presentable, but hardly perfect, the interior shows some wear, but not trashed. That said all the dash gauges work, and the HVAC is functional – although the AC needs to be charged. Overall, this car is a great driver. It manages to present well and drives great. A rare old car that’s ready to go anywhere. If you’re looking for a great driver that can stay as is or be easily restored into a show winner; this is your car.
