Vinyl InteriorGateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1949 Ford F1 pickup. This F1 is powered by its original Ford Flathead 8-cylinder engine and mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. The odometer reads 56,483 and although there isn't documentation to prove this is the actual mileage, the drivetrain is numbers matching and has never been rebuilt. In our opinion, this truck drives way too well to be 156k miles and it hasn't been rebuilt per the owner. The Ford Bronze painted block definitely dignifies this block as a 1949 per Bill Hirsch of Newark, New jersey covering “engine enamels". This Sheridab Blue (year 1949-1954 Chip No. 174) is still in great condition with minor scratches and wear shown. The exterior is in fantastic shape with chrome bumpers, a wooden inlayed bed, fog lights, vent, white wall tires, and painted to match steel wheels with chrome hubcaps. This truck is still powered by a 6 volt electric system with a new battery. The current owner has had the truck for almost 10 years and it is been in the family before taking ownership. Recently the fuel pump, carburetor, master cylinder for brakes, brake switch, and steering box have been restored or replaced recently with receipts. Inside this beautiful truck is a blue vinyl bench seat with nice paint on the dash, clean and restored gauges, and even the manual shift on the floor. If you are looking for a collectors item or something that you can drive and enjoy, this is the piece of Ford History for you!
