Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is please to offer for sale, on consignment, this 1950 Chevrolet 3100 Series Pickup. The current (5th) owner claims this truck has spent it's whole life in Arizona. A true barn find, this truck was pulled from storage in a barn on an Ostrich Farm in Northern Arizona. Dubbed the "Christmas Truck" due to it's similarity to the truck you see in all kinds of Christmas decorations, cards, wrapping paper and books. The purpose for the restoration was to not make it a museum piece, rather something that you would feel comfortable driving around occasionally. The original 216 cubic inch Stovebolt inline six is mated to the original 4 speed manual transmission. Improvements made to the truck are as follows, New Headliner and Visors, New Floor Mats, both Bumpers were re-chromed, White Oak Bed floor with Stainless Steel Bed Strips and Hardware. Stainless Steel reproduction Hubcaps, Custom Wood Door Panels with Armrests, Driver and Passenger Windows replaced with Tempered Glass. The Speedometer and Starter are both rebuilt and a Rochester 1 barrel carburetor was installed and the Fuel Pump and Water Pump were both replaced with new units. The wiper motor was rebuilt, new mufflers installed and three new seat belts were installed. The miles on the odometer are believed to be actual along with the sheet metal is believed to be all original and accident free with the exception of a reproduction tailgate. The original tailgate will come with the truck. This is definitely the one you want if you're in the market for a 1947 - 1953 3100 Series Pickup. Call today to get the details on how to add this one to your collection!
