Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to present for sale, on consignment, this one of a kind 1962 Studebaker Lark Gasser! This car was built for shows and cruises and modified on a rust-free body and undercarriage that's been soda blasted and painted. This is a straight front axle car with a tilt front nose. The blue and white exterior plays well with the black vinyl bucket seat interior. The rear seat was removed and a complete carpet kit was installed. Powering this monster is a 327 cubic inch V8 bored .40 over out of a 1965 Corvette with the heads out of a 63 Corvette. Eldelbrock provided the carburetor and manifold and the engine is kept in operating temperatures with a Ron Davis radiator. All the wiring was provided by Ron Francis Wiring out of Chester Pennsylvania. The transmission is a TH400 automatic with a shift kit and Lokar shifter. Power is transferred to the ground via a Ford 9" 350 Traction-Loc rear end. This Lark sings the song of its people by way of Sanderson headers that are piped with Quick Time electric cutouts through additional piping that exits just behind the doors for a less aggressive sounding journey down the road. Stay informed with the classic instrument gauges including speedometer, tachometer, water temp, fuel, voltage and oil pressure. This is a great tribute car that the owner has claimed to never have been raced since it was finished.
