Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1966 Ford Mustang. In April 1964, Ford developed and released a car that would become one of the longest produced cars in American history! Red always looks good on a Mustang, and this later respray means there's a nice gloss over the whole body. It's that ideal look where it's a cruiser that gets immediate attention at cars & coffee, and you'd always be just a professional detail away from parking it on a high-class car show lawn. Under the hood is a 289 cubic-inch V8 that's the correct displacement for this C-code coupe mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, and features upgrades such as an Edelbrock carburetor, mid-length headers feeding a dual exhaust, MSD ignition and an aluminum radiator. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include cold blowing air conditioning, lap belts, a floor shifter, and a stereo with a Pioneer speakers. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 3600 miles since the rebuild although true mileage is unknown. If you're looking for an early example of the pony car that started it all, look no further!
