Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is pleased to be able to offer this 1971 Ford Mustang Grande. The 1971-73 Mustangs were available in five different body styles, with the Grande version the most forgotten model of them all. The "Grands", which came in coupe only, are good-looking cars and in contrast to their 1960s counterparts, are still reasonably priced classics, offering the same driving enjoyment of the early Mustangs without the hefty price tags! This 1971 beauty is finished in Brown metallic with the classic vinyl top & the factory sunroof that the Grandes are known for. Powered by a strong running "M-Code" 351 CID Cleveland (that is a very rare option in a Grande) and is also equipped with a moderately aggressive comp cam, a matched valvetrain, a new Holley 600cfm carb, an Edelbrock aluminum intake and some Sanderson ceramic coated headers, this Mustang is no slouch! Teamed up to the smooth shifting C6 transmission running into a Ford "Detroit Locker 9" & 3.00 gears, road trips will become a weekly event. The previous owner is a Mustang aficionado and has lovingly owned this Grande for the last 16 yrs., so the pride he took in it is evident. Also in it are new power brakes, new booster & master cylinder and even the caliper lines. The updated A/C is cold blowing the bucker seats are inviting, so all this needs now is a new driveway to call home!
