Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is pleased to present this 1970 Chevrolet C20. Building on the successful first series of C/K pickup, Chevrolet launched a revised version in 1967. Coil springs remained at all four corners beneath the restyled 1967 Chevy C10, but a crisp, clean pickup appeared on the outside, and in some opinions the new Chevy looked even more modern than its half-ton Ford rival, which was also updated that year. This example is shown in a yellow and white paint job complemented by a clean brown interior and wood accents. Powering this head-turning truck is a newly installed 454CID V-8 with an Edelbrock carburetor and an MSD StreetFire ignition, mated to a stout TH400 3-Speed automatic transmission. The interior strikes the right balance of classic and comfortable. You have the vintage style of brown leather on the seat. Newer carpeting, newer window trim, and a smooth dash pad keep the classic style. Because this also likes to be a cruiser, there are also the right vintage but useful features like the Retro style AM/FM/AUX stereo, center console with cup holders, and air conditioning. The four-spoke Z/28 steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer and auxiliary gauges monitoring oil pressure, battery amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 68k miles, although the total mileage is unknown. This is the kind of respected classic that wears its history and has the right features to make it easy to tell its story everywhere.
