The transmission is a 4-speed manual. The engine and transmission have both been rebuilt within 500 miles. It features rack and pinion steering and front disc brakes. New wheels are wrapped in new radial tires. The interior is a new red vinyl and really is something to see. They certainly don't make interiors like this anymore. From the dual-cockpit dashboard shape to the beautifully styled gauges, it is clear GM got it right with this car. Of course, this car is best enjoyed with the top down and the wind in your hair. This is the last of the straight axle Corvettes, and the last to have exposed headlights until 2005.
