Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1964 Polara 500. The Dodge Polara 500 was introduced in 1962 to an ever-growing market of buyers looking for a full-size luxury car with a sporty flare with options including bucket seats, center consoles and large powerful engines. It has been considered one of the first large muscle cars. By 1963, the Polara was revised into a larger, sleeker design with redesigned front and rear end features added to the 1964 model. Design changes made the 1964 Polara look longer, wider, and lower than its predecessor.
This 1964 Dodge Polara is painted in Tuxedo Black and accented with miles of 60's chrome trim and bumpers. A set of Cragar five-spoke chrome wheels and scooped hood add a finishing touch to this "mouthwatering" exterior. The inviting black vinyl interior consists of front bucket seats with a center console. Aftermarket tac, temp, volts, and oil gauges have been added. A retro AM/FM radio has been neatly fitted into the dash. Under the hood of this beauty is a Kilpatrick built 440 V-8 with dual Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs attached to a A833 four-speed transmission. All the power is transferred to the rear wheels through a Dana 3:54:1 gear ratio posi rear end. Added features include TTI coated headers, three-inch exhaust TTI tips, MSD ignition system, mini high toque starter, one wire alternator, cut out switch, three core aluminum radiator with a Flex A Lite wave fan, and Bear hub assemblies, wheel cylinders, drums, and e-brake cables.
