The first- generation Monte Carlo came standard with a 350ci V-8 with an optional 400 or 454s on the SS models were available. General Motors had great success with the early Monte Carlo due to its stunning good looks and luxurious appeal. Many high-end options and trim packages were available, making the Monte Carlo an appealing mid-size option in the two-door market.
This 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is painted in dark blue with a period black vinyl roof. Factory rally wheels mounted on a set of raised white letter tires add to the unmistakable good looks of the Monte Carlo. The black vinyl interior features front bucket seats, center console, simulated wood dash trim, Am/FM radio w/ additional aftermarket Sirius satellite radio under dash, air conditioning, rear defog, and an aftermarket gauge setup including temp/ oil/ amps. Under the hood is a 350 V-8 engine attached to a three-speed automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes are additional features.
