Vinyl InteriorGateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 step side pickup. The Task Force series Chevrolet pickup was produced from 1955-1959. Offerings included a new wrap around windshield, 12 -volt electrical systems, power steering and power brakes. By 1957 new body changes included a new open-mouthed grille, a dished steering wheel, safety door locks and a new Turbo Glide transmission. A noticeable difference was a flatter hood design that had two spears at the top similar to that of the iconic 1957 Bel Air.
Don’t let the original looks of this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 step side fool you. Under the hood is a monster 383 Stroker V-8 producing 486hp. All this power is transferred through a four-speed automatic transmission. Power steering, power front disk brakes and air conditioning are great additions. This 3100 is painted in a period turquoise and white paint scheme. The wood bed floor, windshield visor and wide whitewall tires add to the nostalgic looks. The interior is appointed with a black vinyl bench seat, black carpeting, seatbelts, and a radio.
