Over 400,000 units were sold by the end of its run in 1974. Volkswagen produced the Ghia as a rear engine vehicle with design features that loosely resembled Porsches of the same period. Amazingly, the Karmann Ghia remained basically unchanged in its nineteen-year run. The only real changes came in 1973-74 when the rear seat was removed and turned into a storage area.
This 1973 volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe is painted in bright yellow with a black vinyl interior. Under the hood is a 1585cc 1.6L four-cylinder engine attached to a four-speed manual transmission.
