Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1963 Chevrolet C10 step side pickup. The first- generation C/K series was the first General Motors pickup to be built on a body on frame platform. Using a drop-center frame design that was stronger than its predecessor which allowed for the cabin to be mounted seven inches lower. A redesign that created a lower center of gravity and improved stability. Coil springs were added to the front end in 1963 to save space and improve overall durability. The first- generation C/K has become known as the General Motors first pickup to take on all the challenges an owner could throw at it. Reliability and durability had now become common place in the pickup truck market.
This 1963 Chevrolet C-10 step side has been completely modernized without taking away from the truck’s original good looks. The exterior is painted in fire engine red. Accented with good looking set of American Racing alloy wheels mounted on raised white letter tires. Finishing touches include a black vinyl tonneau cover and a hood ornament off a 1956 Chevy. The interior sports updated 40/60 split velour seating w/ armrest. A modern VDO gauge package, tilt steering wheel, and an AM/FM radio are great additions. Under the hood is a 360 Cubic inch V-8 attached to a Turbo 350 transmission. Engine improvements include Hooker Competition Headers, Edlebrock Endura-Shine Intake, Comp “Thumper” Cam and Performance HEI ignition. Additions including front disk power brakes and power steering make for an enjoyable driving truck. Don’t miss out on this truly amazing 1963 Chevrolet C10 step side pickup.
