Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1939 Ford Two-door Standard Sedan. This black beauty is an all -steel example, retaining its original 91A flathead engine with major improvements. The list includes three super 97 carbs, Offenhauser Manifold, Offenhauser Heads 24 bolt, Fenton Headers, Cool Craft High Performance Radiator with two electric fans and shroud and an electric fuel pump. The Fords electrical system has been converted to a GM 12-volt generator with a 12-volt mini starter. The transmission is a five-speed S10 stick shift with a cable X unit attached to the original speedometer. A 1974 Ford rear axle with a 2.79 gear ratio with sway-bar leaf springs complete the rear end. Braking consists of Chevrolet front disk brakes and Ford rear drums. Added features include a drop front axle with a Panhard bar and a Ford poly fuel tank.
This 1939 Ford Two-Door Standard sedan is painted in tuxedo black with custom pinstriping. Coker wide white wall tires with reverse chrome rims, a louvered hood and Frenched taillights add to the beauty of this build. The gray tufted velour seats and fully carpeted interior is totally inviting. In addition to the working factory gauges are an aftermarket oil gauge and tachometer. A GM steering column, AM/FM/cd radio, car cover and front fender bra are great added features to one beautiful build.
