Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1937 Nash Lafayette 400 two- door sedan. Nash bought out Lafayette Motors and reintroduced the Lafayette name in 1934 as a lower priced car to the Nash lineup. The Lafayette was marketed as a new kind of low-priced car. Targeting former small car buyers into a larger, more appealing better engineered car that costs just a little more than the lowest priced cars on the market. The Nash Lafayette 400 two-door rides on a 121-inch wheelbase with a 234 I-6 engine producing 95 hp. Attached to a three-speed manual transmission. The interior is appointed with broadcloth seats with tufting and braiding trim. An oversized speedometer and gauge package highlight the dash. This 1937 Nash Lafayette is a solid and restorable example. The body is good, and the interior has no rips or tears. Engine runs and motivates through all the gears. The beauty of this car lies in its flowing lines and distinguishable radiator design.
