Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1973 MGB convertible. The MGB was manufactured from 1962-1980. It was marketed as a four-cylinder soft top sport car by British Leland of England. The MGB has been considered as a nicely styled, affordable, fun driving car. Even today, the timeless design of the MGB is just as popular today as it was 40 plus years ago.
This 1973 MGB convertible displays the last year for chrome bumpers! After 1973 the MGB acquired undesirable rubber bumpers, raised suspension and revised carburetion due to stricter DOT regulations. The 1.8-liter engine was making about 100hp for the last time. A four-speed transmission makes for one fun driving machine. Reliability was greatly improved on the 1973 model with a better electrical system and a new five bearing crankshaft. Making the engine practically bullet proof. A sporty orange paint job is accented with black vinyl interior and convertible top. The American Racing alloys add a nice 70's look. Other features included are a tonneau cover, AM/FM/cassette radio, original tools and fog lamps.
You will be hard pressed to find a car that is more fun to drive around town than this 1973 MGB convertible. Just drop the top, climb behind the wheel and experience the MGB phenomenon.
