Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. By the mid-60s the muscle car wars really started to rev up! Chevrolet had the Corvette, but it didn't compete in this new found market. Seeing the success of their competitors, Chevrolet decided to dream up a car that could go toe to toe with the mustang and what came out would become a legend. The Camaro debuted in 1967 kicking off the pony wars within the muscle war, a rivalry that still lingers today after 50 years! The Camaro may be in its 6th generation now but what we have here is a 1969, the last year of the first generation and perhaps the highest sought-after year of its production. Walking around this Camaro a smile starts to crack as you take in the angles that are so easily visible in the beautiful Dover White paint set off by a black vinyl top. The white and black houndstooth interior is in great shape, hardly looks used.

This car is an X11 code SS, originally an SS350, but the 350 is long gone. As you raise the hood your heart quickens as you see the 396ci V8 big block gleaming up at you. It just so happens to be bored to a 408ci. The block is stated to be a '69 date coded L-68 JA code 396. Power is run to the ground through a very nice M21 4-speed manual transmission. Per the owner the powertrain only has 200 miles on it. This car has a 12-bolt rear end and a 3:42 gear ratio so you can still go and enjoy a nice cruise. Owner claims it makes near 500hp on pump gas. Here are a few more highlights of the engine build completed this year: GM Forged Crankshaft, Scat I-beam forged rods, Icon forged pistons, '781' heads rocking 10.4:1 compression, Chris Straub 229/241 hydraulic roller camshaft, Morel Lifers, Rollmaster Chain, Edelbrock performer rpm intake, AED HPHO 750 carburetor, Hedmann Headers, Pypes X-pipe and much more. This Camaro has sub-frame connectors to strengthen the chassis. This appears to be a strong quality build here folks. Pictures of the engine build are available upon request.

This car has great throttle response and the shifting is so smooth. The gate feels nice and tight as it should. One of the best sounding cars we have heard in quite some time, and we see a lot of cars in here! Current owner has had her for around 3 years, acquired from a dealer. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now. Once you turn the key and that big block with a cam roars to life, you'll want to take this sweet ride home! Options on this Camaro includes: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Houndstooth Interior, AM/FM Radio, Rally Wheels, and Radial Tires.
