Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau Coupe!! Wow, the history of the Thunderbird is rich! Debuting all the way back in 1955, the Thunderbird was Ford's immediate response to the newly marketed Corvette. Rushed from idea to prototype in under a year! The Thunderbird would become one of Ford's longest produced cars. Spanning from 1955-1997, and 2002-2005, the Thunderbird would see not just a few redesigns, but 11 generations in total! Here we have a 1966, the last year of the fourth generation. A “Z" code car. The white paint is in good shape, shows very well and the black vinyl top is complemented by the nice conditioned black vinyl interior. Under the hood is a rebuilt 390ci V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. This car has been converted to fuel injection! Only ~3000 miles have been clocked since the rebuild. Runs, drives and shifts smooth, very comfortable cruiser with good power. Recent work performed, replaced master cylinder, and bled hydraulic system. Also underwent a coolant system check and A/C repair. Current owner has had her for over 12 years, acquired from a private owner out of Ohio. One of the best features about these cars in my opinion are the sliding steering wheels to help enter the car with ease. This car comes with a shop manual and the original window sticker! If you are looking for a big comfortable cruising ride that won't break the bank, this ride is for you! Options on this Thunderbird are: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows/Locks, Seat, Vinyl Interior, AM/FM Radio, and Radial Tires.
