This 1950 Mercury Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. The Mercury “Eight" was produced by the Ford motor company from 1938 and 1951. The original Eight was made to fit between the market gaps that the Ford Deluxe and the Lincoln were not hitting. Known mostly for being popular with Hotrodders and everyday garage mechanics it was better known as the “Lead Sled". The style and attitude of these massive full sized cars are thought of whenever the 50's decade or car culture is thought of. This stunning example has been fitted with an ever reliable and easy to modify 350CID v8 with a Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission to power it along. This car rolled into our showroom with 10,280 Undocumented miles on the clock. The roof has been chopped considerably with lines undetectable to any eye. It has been modified tastefully and the roofline has been lowered well. The paint on this Sled is in decent shape with some small cracks forming near the bottom of the rear. The red interior is in comfortable and well taken care of, carpet is clean and in very good shape especially for its age. Front and rear chrome is in superb conditional as well with only a few minor scratches. This is one rad Mercury and is sure to turn some heads at any car show. We advise only driving this beauty in the sunshine as it does not have passenger or driverside windows.
