Tilt Steering WheelThe Mustang was born in mid-year 1964 as an early 1965 model and immediately became the car everybody wanted! With only 8,654 1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra's were produced with only 3,480 of them being convertibles, this car's collectability was destined to begin early in its life! This one is finished in laser red clearcoat with black leather seats with power lumbar support for the driver. The 1998 Cobra kept the new aluminum 4.6-litre, DOCH, "modular" unit that was smoother and had slightly better fuel economy than the older 5-litre unit from prior to 1996. The GT got a SOCH version of the 4.6-litre, but the Cobra got a DOCH setup! The Cobra's block was an aluminum, cross-bolted block. The heads had split ports & huge valves. DOCH meant 4 valves per cylinder for better aspiration. Equipped with a dual 57mm throttle body and an 80mm MAF, the engine is definitely speed ready! Built into the engine is an oil cooler. The 4.6 delivers power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission & a hydraulic clutch system! Stopping the beast, is a 4-wheel disc brake system with 13-inch rotors & twin piston calipers up front, and 11.65-inch vented disc, single calipers in the rear. Power window & door locks, a power convertible top, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning, intermittent wiper system, rear window defroster and an AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo system round out the creature comforts of this open-air pony car! There is nothing like putting the top down, turning up the music & letting the wind hit you in the face while driving! Don't miss this one!
